For over four decades, Rabbi Avraham Arieh and Rachel Trugman have dedicated their lives to Jewish education, spiritual guidance, and community enrichment. Their journey began as a founding family of Moshav Meor Modiim in 1976, where Rabbi Trugman led as the Director of the Center of Jewish Education. Under his leadership, the Center successfully orchestrated programs engaging over 5,000 participants from across 25 countries.
In 1988, the Trugmans assumed the role of Regional Directors of NCSY in Denver, Colorado, marking a pivotal chapter in their mission to inspire Jewish youth. Their return to Israel in 1995 marked the genesis of Ohr Chadash: New Horizons in Jewish Experience, a dynamic program they established. Since its inception, Ohr Chadash has touched the lives of tens of thousands of participants, fostering a deeper connection to Jewish heritage and spirituality.
The Trugmans’ online presence, spanning their website, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, SoundCloud, and Facebook, has attracted millions of visitors over the years. Their global impact extends beyond virtual realms; having traversed over 50 cities worldwide, they’ve led Shabbatons, imparted teachings, performed soulful music, and served as revered scholars-in-residence.
