In 1960, a forward-thinking math instructor named Fred Geyer from Fort Wayne, Indiana started us on our path. Fred came up with a simple rubber stamp with a graphing grid for his classroom, which allowed him to have a reusable tool for arithmetic. He listened to other educators’ demands in the classroom and gradually built relationships to provide his helpful tools to other classrooms.
Fred’s unwavering dedication to meeting educators’ demands has made our company a reliable source for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and robotics-related instructional materials over the years.
While Fred’s passing was a tragedy in 2011, his life and work have been inspiring. Even after all these years, our mission to support educators all over the globe in realizing Fred’s dream of providing every student with a quality education continues unabated.
As of 2015, Geyer’s rapidly expanding business had relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio. We still manufacture many of our own graphing and arithmetic items, even though we branched out to distribute teaching aids, supplies, and manipulatives from many different companies.
